ATLANTA, GA., Aug. 15, 2025 – Wiggam Law is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Mesler as senior counsel, bringing decades of experience in tax controversy, IRS practice and procedure and high-stakes tax resolution for corporations and high-net-worth individuals.
Mesler’s distinguished career includes serving as a retired Principal at Ernst & Young, where he led the firm’s Tax Controversy practice for the Central and Southeast U.S., representing large and mid-sized multinational corporations and high-wealth individuals. Earlier in his career, he served as a trial attorney for IRS Chief Counsel, litigating cases for both large corporate entities and individual taxpayers before the U.S. Tax and Bankruptcy Courts. He was also designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney during his tenure.

In addition to his extensive litigation experience, Mesler served from 2013 to 2015 on the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC) and chaired its Large Business & International sub-group. At Ernst & Young, he specialized in providing procedural guidance to Fortune 500 companies, focusing on strategies to resolve tax disputes without litigation. He also advised professionals on risk management, ethical standards and professional responsibility.
