Betty Carter was featured in CPA Practice Advisor’s “Professionals on the Move” column regarding her addition to Wiggam Law as a tax resolution professional.
Carter brings more than 40 years of experience with the Internal Revenue Service, where she worked across taxpayer services, field collections and enforcement, including specialized work in offer-in-compromise units and complex collection cases.
At Wiggam Law, she assists individuals and businesses facing tax controversies, helping clients navigate issues such as installment agreements, penalty abatements and offers in compromise.
A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Carter holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal psychology from the University of Memphis and an MBA from Brenau University. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, walking and spending time with her family and pets.
