Cara McClellan

Associate Attorney

As an Associate Attorney at Wiggam, Cara helps her clients understand their options clearly, even in very complex situations. She has a deep understanding of both federal and state tax law, which she uses to find solutions that work for her clients while satisfying the demands of the government.

Cara earned her LL.M. in Taxation from NYU Law and her JD from the Georgia State University College of Law. At NYU, she was awarded the Michael I. Saltzman Scholarship for the outstanding student with an interest in tax controversy. At GSU, Cara was a Graduate Research Assistant in the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayers’ Clinic and was the founder and President of the Tax Law Society. Cara has an MBA from Auburn University.

When not working, Cara enjoys running in Piedmont Park and training for half marathons. She also loves to travel (searching the world for the perfect pastry) and is learning to play the bass guitar.

What was your least favorite childhood chore and why?

Cleaning my room – it was just going to get messy again.
